Glossybox (January 2018)

Glossybox is a monthly subscription that delivers beauty products - hair care, skincare, makeup, perfumes, tools, etc. to your door for $21 per month if you buy the monthly plan, but that price goes down if you buy a 3-, 6-, or 12-month subscription.

Glossybox carries some of the best brands in beauty. Each box contains five or more items from full-sized to deluxe samples. Following are the contents of my January 2018 box:

THEORIE Marula Oil Transforming Hair Serum (0.34oz deluxe sample, $2.60) - Goes deep into the hair follicles to restore moisture and strengthen cuticles. As you apply this special formula to damp or dry hair, watch as it transforms into vibrant, softer strands.

TIP: Extend your blowout a couple more days by using dry shampoo on your roots and applying through the ends.

Purity Dew Drops (0.5oz full-size, $14.99) - Revives the delicate eye area, while making you look and feel more awake. Featuring natural extracts and Lumene's advanced hydra-technology, it will keep your skin moisturized throughout the day.

TIDBIT: Natural ingredients like birch sap, pure arctic spring water, and vitamin B5 reduce the appearance of dark circles in this fragrance-free formula.

DR. BOTANICALS Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil (1.01oz full-size, $58.50) - Vegan-certified, this oil comes packed with antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins. Not only will the lightweight formula brighten tired skin, but it will also protect it from future damage.

TIDBIT: This rich facial oil features three active ingredients: Vitamin C to stimulate collagen production, Vitamin A to rejuvenate, and Almond Oil to nourish the skin.

BUXOM Big Tease Plumping Mascara (0.06oz full-size, $22.00) - Imparts larger-than-life lashes without any clumping. Containing three high-performing waxes and a conical-shaped wand, you'll enjoy a smooth application and base-to-tip intensity.

TIP: Use the tip of the mascara wand to coat your lower lashes in an "X" formation, amplifying each lash with a 360° plump effect.

STEVE LAURANT Lip Tint in Dusty Rose (0.12oz full-size, $22.00) - Bestows the perfect flushed look on every skintone. The Verdicts:

The Theorie hair serum has a nice light scent (reminds me of sweet tea). The texture is thin and ohmigosh-so-silky.

The Lumene eye gel was a fine under-eye treatment. It didn't wow me, but it didn't disappoint either. There was almost zero scent to the formula. What I could smell was just freshness.

Dr. Botanicals' facial oil has the best rose fragrance and left my skin dewy and moisturized.

I'm in love with this Buxom mascara. Seriously in love. And I have tried every mascara on the market... from $5 drugstore mascaras to $30 and up luxury brands. This is one of my absolute favorites. The top photo is my eyes mascara-free. The middle one has the eye on the right-only done. And the bottom pictures shows the complete job. It goes on cleanly... no clumping AT ALL! It dries fast and comes off really easy.

Steve Laurant's lip tint isn't my color. I'll be passing it along.

Also included in the box was a $25 gift card to Velvet Eyewear. However, their glasses and sunglasses are fairly pricey, and there are better discount promo codes online for those who look, so I won't be counting it towards the box's value.

This January 2018 box has an approximate value of $120.09. That's a fantastic value. The full-size Dr. Botanicals facial oil alone is worth almost three times the box price. Crossing my fingers the February box is even half as great!
