Mugler Addict by Thierry Mugler (January 2017)

MUGLER Addict is one of my favorite subscription boxes, and the fact that it only comes four times a year, it always pops up when I'm not expecting it. I get very excited to see that pale blue box come in the mail. 



MUGLER Addict includes an informative card providing descriptions of each item. In this January 2017 box, I received (or didn't):

The Alien fragrance is floral and woody, and surprisingly not-too-strong considering it's an EDT. I like it a lot. And not just because it's another adorable tiny bottle to add to my collection! The shower gel has the exact same smell, but the body lotion is on the strong side. I can use neither of these anyway, so I'm glad they both have foil seals. I can pass them along without worrying the recipient will think I already used them. Plus - and I hate to even mention it (you'll soon know why) but - I already received these in a prior box.

NOW... to address the elephant in the post. You may have been puzzled by the two empty photos of my ottoman. Well, those are items on the card that were not in the box. I'm sure this was a simple mistake, and I'm also positive my lovely MUGLER concierge, Samantha, would happily correct error. But I don't feel that's necessary. The pouch is unique and beautiful, if not impractical. Were I walking a red carpet, I would desperately need this.

A MUGLER Addict subscription is $50 per year and you get four boxes a year, which comes out to $12.50 a box. If I cannot find the same product size on the site for sale, I figure the cost of the fragrance samples and minis based on the 1.7oz size, or what's available. Not including the value of Alien golden pouch which I am unable to determine, the total value would have been $32.38, but I unfortunately did not receive two of the items so the value went down to $28.28. Which is still fantastic!

Don't get me wrong. Only a douche would complain about receiving $28.28 worth of product for $12.50. I just would have really loved to sample the two missing items because I haven't had the pleasure of smelling those yet. And although this MUGLER Addict review is my last for the time being, it is not because of the duplicate products and missing fragrances. It's simply due to a deficit of dollars and a surplus of stuff. But I'll be back, and I highly recommend this program. It may very well be my favorite.
